Dropshipping Unlocked Review (Malachi Jackson Course)
Malachi Jackson is a YouTube eCommerce guru, and his course showcases the dropshipping business module and how you can start.
His free webinar has enjoyed a pretty good reach on social media, and you’re probably here as a result of that. His ads state that you can learn how to make money through dropshipping and that he scaled himself from Netflix binge watching to owning several online stores.
According to him, he’s making hundreds of thousands from those stores, and it all took him just 13 months.
I can’t say I trust those statements, as possible as they may be. However, he seems like an OK guy. His YouTube channel offers useful videos with good content, and he doesn’t really spam you with the many luxuries he can afford.
His channel is small, though, with only about 1,400 subscribers, but as I said, he has good content. He also runs livestreams now and then.
Reviewing Dropshipping Unlocked
The course goes for $997 right now, and it’s hosted on Teachables, as usual. You get HD videos as well, but you can’t download the content. Luckily, it looks great on all devices.
Module 1: New Beginning
This module is a bit cheesy in its title if I may say, and it’s weird in that it’s the only module with a “romantic” name.
Moving on, it’s just 4 videos on how to start your dropshipping business: a brief welcome to the classes, a video on proper mindset, the right principles for running this business, and how you should use this course.
Module 2: Optimizing marketing strategies
This is where the actual content begins, and it’s the largest module in the course with a large spectrum being covered. I usually complain about courses splitting their content into unnecessary modules, but this seems to be the opposite.
It’s OK if you can follow the line, but it can get confusing.
It starts with Facebook Ads and tips to keep your account from getting suspended or even banned. Malachi then shows you how he creates his ads and a brief case study.
Then, there’s a video on how you can create a campaign from scratch. You learn about using funnel templates, ad retargeting, and using lookalike audiences. There’s also some content on negative filtering and scaling your store. The last content is what you can do should you get banned.
While it has a lot of topics, it’s still just Facebook Ads. Don’t expect any Instagram or Google content.
Module 3: Optimizing websites
This module focuses on optimizing your funnels and overall store, plus some apps you should integrate to boost your conversions. He does place affiliate links on his recommendations, and they include standards like Shoptimized and Booster Theme.
While they’re good, I’d still recommend eCom Turbo above them.
You’re also taken through how you can optimize your checkout, product descriptions, and videos. He touches on email marketing as well, with some scripts.
The last videos go back a bit to social media and developing your brand.
Module 4: Optimizing products
It starts with the kinds of products you can sell and how you can spot the best products for your store. There are also videos on branding products by optimizing their names.
There’s also a video explaining how to outsource this process by paying around $3 an hour and some methods for product research and copying exploiting search tools on Facebook.
The last video is a quick view into automating your processes with plugins.
Bonuses
The bonuses include some videos with tips on Facebook Ads, using virtual assistants, and general recommendations. There’s also some good insight regarding follow-ups, scaling on a budget, and some danger of scaling that are rarely covered.
You also have some downloadable documents like templates for your FAQ, moderation for your negative comments, and some countries you should target and others you should exclude.
Final Verdict
The course is very short, but it offers a good grasp on the basics of running Facebook Ads and business optimization. However, the course is missing way too much content to be asking nearly $1,000.
There’s also zero information on refund policies or guarantees. That’s always a red flag for me, but the price-to-content ratio should be enough to keep you away from it
